Saiha – Fastest growing city of Mizoram

Saiha is the fastest-growing city in Mizoram. It is elevated at a height of 729m above sea level. It is situated in the southern part of Mizoram, a state in the northeastern region of India. This city has a unique blend of natural beauty, and cultural richness and is home to the Mara people. 

The locals of Mara, historically call it ‘Siaha’. It translates into elephant teeth. This place is named so because of its historical significance of having a lot of elephant teeth found in this city. However, the Mizos called it Saiha as it is commonly known. The Palak River flows next to this city, making it a fertile land. Huge trees, forests, and fauna cover the setting of this place.
